P-Shot & Shockwave Therapy For ED
Duration
20 - 30 min
Treatment Type
Injection - Shockwave
Recovery Time
2 - 3 Hours
We focus on addressing the root cause of erectile dysfunction (ED) rather than relying solely on medications like Viagra or Cialis. In most cases ED is a vascular disease that results from restricted blood flow to the penis, preventing it from becoming engorged. Our GentlePro shockwave system stimulated the formation of new blood vessels and enlarges the existing blood vessels in the penis This allows more blood to enter the penis and remain in the penis, leading to larger, longer-lasting erections. It's suitable for both ED treatment and enhancing sexual performance. Additionally, we provide the Priapus Shot, a virtually painless procedure using your Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to aid in the regeneration of damaged blood vessels and the formation of new blood vessels.
Our Program and Protocol
Our Program and Protocol
Our approach to improving erectile dysfunction is to eliminate the cause, not just treat the symptoms with medications like Viagra and Cialis. We offer the very latest in cutting-edge technology for ED treatment. Our treatments include Gentle pro® shockwave therapy, PRP-Shot therapy, home penile pump therapy and testosterone replacement therapy (if indicated).
What to expect
What to expect
As a client of our clinic, we know that most guys don’t go to the doctors often, and have most likely not had any exam in a long time. You will have a comprehensive medical questionnaire regarding your medical health, including a SHIM (Sexual Health Inventory for Men) score, which is a standardized measurement of erectile function. Using this measurement, health professionals can track progress during erectile dysfunction treatment.
Maintenance
Maintenance
To maintain the results of erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment, a combination of shockwave therapy and the Priapus Shot (P-Shot) is always recommended. Typically, 2 P-Shots and 6 to 12 shockwave sessions complete one treatment cycle. For long-term effectiveness, it's advised to receive a PRP-Shot every 6 months, with optional short courses of shockwave therapy as needed. While individual responses vary, many experience sustained improvements in mild to moderate ED symptoms for up to 2 years. Crucially, consistent use of a penis pump is essential, think of it like going to the gym, or vitamins after workouts. Using a penis pump also leads to faster improvement of ED.
Benefits
Natural Procedure
The Shockwave and Priapus PRP Shot use your own growth factors derived from your blood, making it a natural treatment, with long-lasting effects.
Virtually Painless
The Shockwave procedure is virtually painless. For the Priapus PRP shot the area is numbed with topical local anesthetic before injection to make it virtually painless. For sensitive patients, we also offer a Dorsal nerve block to totally eliminate pain during the injection.
No medication Side effects
All PDE5 inhibitors like Cialis and Viagra have side effects. The most common side effects with Cialis and Viagra are: headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose. The most annoying side effect is that oral medications last only for a couple hours. This leads to the unnatural side effect of having to take a tablet to have sexual intercourse.
Protocols
The Performance Protocol is for patients with a SHIM score of 22 to 25 who are looking to boost their sexual performance and add some girth to their penis size. During this protocol, you will receive a total of 6 shockwave therapies. And 1 PRP shot. Typically the shockwave therapy is delivered 2 per week, for 3 weeks. You will receive a P Shot on the first day of your shockwave therapy. After this, patients must pause treatment for 3 months to allow for healing, and the PRP to work. The protocol can then be repeated every 3 months until the desired results have been achieved. The penis pump must be used daily for 10 minutes during the shockwave therapy treatments. Use must then be continued for an additional 6 weeks, but we often recommend using it daily and just making it part of your daily routine.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s causes ED?
ED can result from a combination of certain physical and psychological problems. Stress or anxiety regarding sexual performance can potentially lead to worsened ED. Naturally, as you age, you may experience some degree of erectile dysfunction. Your lifestyle and other health problems can also impact your ability to achieve and maintain an erection.the most common cause for ED is vascular dysfunction. This causes a decreased blood flow into your penis leading to decreased size of erections and difficulty in achieving and maintaining effective erections.
When should I meet with a doctor?
If you have difficulty maintaining an erection during sexual activity, or the inability to achieve an erection during sexual activity you should make an appointment with us at your earliest convenience. The most common cause of ED is vascular, but it is important to get a full physical examination including blood work and an ECG to exclude other potential causes. Only then can we test, diagnose, and fix the erectile dysfunction you may be experiencing.
What is the Priapus Shot?
The Priapus PRP Shot is a simple, in-office procedure that takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. A blood sample is taken from your arm and placed in a special centrifuge to separate out your plasma and platelets, which is then carefully drawn into a syringe. A numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and a local anesthetic is also provided for ultimate comfort. The injections are given with a small needle and then you’re done!
How long do the improvements from the P-Shot typically last?
Results can last up to 18 months but maintenance treatments suggested every 6 to 9 months for optimal results.
How does shockwave therapy work in treating ED?
Shockwave therapy addresses vascular erectile dysfunction by enhancing blood flow to the penis. It stimulates the creation of new blood vessels, improving blood circulation in existing vessels, and thereby improving the ability to achieve and maintain erections.
How long does the treatment last?
While individual responses vary, many experience sustained improvements in mild to moderate ED symptoms for 18 months up to 2 years. It is recommended to do maintenance therapy more frequently at regular intervals to improve and maintain optimal results. Most patients do a “top up” treatment every 6 months to maintain optimum performance. More frequent treatments can be done in certain cases since there are no side effects to the treatment.
Do I need a referral to get the treatments?
No you do not need a referral.
Is any part of the treatment covered through the Medical Services Plan (MSP)?
Some parts of the special investigations, like the blood tests and ECG are covered through MSP. Unfortunately the treatments themselves are not covered through MSP and are private pay. We do offer financing options through our partners at iFinance Canada.
